Jakarta. Matahari Putra Prima, one of Indonesia's largest retailers, has sealed a partnership with Tokopedia allowing the companies' shop chain to make sales on Indonesia's largest e-commerce platform, the retailer said in a statement on Thursday.
The new partnership enables Matahari Putra Prima to put Hypermart, Foodmart, Primo, and Hyfresh virtual stores into the platform, reaching more than 90 million potential customers who visit Tokopedia every month.
The customers now will have more choices for fresh products, grocery, household needs from Tokopedia.

Starting on Thursday, 23 stores in Greater Jakarta are ready to support this collaboration, Matahari Putra Prima said. The company will add more stores nationally into the platform throughout the period of 2020 and 2021.
For Matahari Putra Prima, the collaboration capped its digital initiative that has intensified since the Covid-19 began.
Initially, Matahari Putra Prima offered digital shopping services through its in-house app Hypermart Online. This year, the company launched Whatsapp Talk & Shop, an online shopping service using the messaging app. The Park & Pickup service designed to accommodate large items' purchase is also available.
