'Indonesia Airports' App Introduced to Assist Travelers
Jakarta. Angkasa Pura II has launched its Indonesia Airports smartphone application, designed to provide travelers with integrated information at the 13 airports operated by the state-owned company in the western part of the country.
"We are going digital; now you can download the app from Android and iOS and access any flight schedules, delays and more in real time," Angkasa Pura II chief executive Muhammad Awaluddin said in a statement.
The app also features the locations of shops and cafés, prayer rooms, foreign exchange rates and transportation connections at airports.
"The Indonesia Airports app is designed to allow travelers to use it effectively from the start. It's also a reflection of the current cultural changes in the use of smartphones," Awaluddin added.
Tourism Minister Arief Yahya meanwhile expressed his appreciation of the initiative, saying that it will aid growth in the tourism sector.
