Indonesia Pavilion at the 1st Festival Asia in London Launching Event By HE the Indonesian Ambassador

London, Wednesday, 18th of March 2015, at 14:00 GMT (21:00 WIB) – For the first time and the first of its kind in the UK, an event encompassing all Asian Cultures will be showcased. Imagine if you are travelling throughout the whole of Asia in few hours for three days, starting from the 15th to the 17th of May 2015, at a fantastic London venue full of character, Tobacco Dock, close to Tower Hill. Today (18/03), at 2pm GMT (9pm WIB), at Crutacala Room of the Indonesian Embassy, 38 Grosvenor Square, London W1K2HW, H.E. the Indonesian Ambassador KCVO, Mr. Teuku Mohammad Hamzah Thayeb will launch the Indonesia Pavilion participation in this festival, with dignitaries who are, Deputy Chief of Mission: Mrs. Anita Lidya Luhulima, the general manager of Garuda Indonesia: Mr. Jubi Prasetyo, chief representatives from Bank of Indonesia: Mr. Rizal Djafaara, BNI Bank: Mrs. Nungki Indraty, Bank Mandiri: Mr. Helmi Satriyono and witnessed by its attaches and the organisers from Gapura Limited: Mrs. Cathy Lelengboto and Mrs. Beth Palapa.
The Indonesia Pavilion theme, “Emerald of the Equator” in this Festival Asia debut in May will incorporate the richness of cultural biodiversity, featuring food, fashion, spirituality, arts, dance and music performances, artefacts, health and spas stalls, clothes, spices and much more, including children’s entertainment.
This Indonesia Pavilion will enhance Indonesia’s profile at the heart of London, - a magnet for leaders of many industries and professions, also for arts and culture lovers from around the globe. This event is a collaborative effort between the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in London with its constituents and Gapura Limited. It aims to attract vendors, exhibitors from Indonesia and the UK to participate at Pavilion Indonesia at Festival Asia in order to promote Indonesia as a cultural tourism destination as well as generate increased visitation. “Emerald of the Equator” of Indonesia Pavilion at the Festival Asia 2015 debut is something not to be missed.
