'Japanese-Taste' Palm Springs Serviced Apartments Celebrate 2nd Anniversary
Cikarang. Sanko Soflan Holdings, the developer of Palm Springs serviced apartments in Cikarang, West Java, celebrated its second anniversary on Sunday (07/10).
Sanko Soflan Indonesia vice president director Ryohei Matsukubo, who is also the general manager of Palm Springs serviced apartments, said occupancy rate of the 126 units is at 100 percent, thanks to strong demand in Cikarang, an industrial township east of Jakarta, which is home to many Japanese expatriates.
The apartment complex, aimed at Japanese expatriates, is situated in the Casa De Lago residential area in Lippo Cikarang, a township belonging to the Lippo Group. It offers a distinctive Japanese flavor in every aspect of its services. It has four types of apartments, ranging from 40.81 to 52.91 square meters.
"Serviced apartments with a modern and simple design in Japanese taste is in high demand," Matsukubo said.
He added that all residents are from Japan and that all staff, from security officers, to those managing the ofuro, or Japanese bath, and the restaurant, speak Japanese. The apartment also offers mini-golf, a lounge and a Japanese restaurant known as Khaihomaru.
"Japanese people currently make up the largest group of expatriates in Lippo Cikarang. There are about 12,000 expatriates living in Lippo Cikarang and about 60 percent of them are from Japan," Toto Bartholomeus, chief executive of township developer Lippo Cikarang, said on Sunday.
He said there are more than 4,000 Japanese companies operating in Lippo Cikarang.
Apart from the distinctly Japanese-influenced serviced apartment complex, Lippo Cikarang also offers a Japanese school, Hikari, which serves the expatriate community in the town.
Lippo Cikarang is an industrial township that offers many facilities, including malls, shopping centers, a hospital, star-rated hotels, sports facilities and more.
