Jakarta. State-owned railway operator Kereta Api Indonesia, or KAI, has increased the frequency of Argo Parahyangan train on Jakarta-Bandung route during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
"Initially, we added 14 journeys, now we're adding six more," KAI's public relations head Agus Komarrudin told Antara news agency on Thursday (29/12).
He said the train's frequency was increased as huge traffic jams were caused by construction works on Purbaleunyi toll road's Cisomang bridge section.
On Wednesday, the toll road was closed for five hours.
