Lippo Karawaci Opens 65th Shopping Mall in Lubuklinggau
Jakarta. Property developer Lippo Karawaci officially opened its 65th mall, Lippo Plaza Lubuklinggau in South Sumatra on Saturday (26/11).
In attendance was Lubuklinggau mayor, S.N. Prana Putra Sohe.
Lippo Plaza Lubuklinggau is strategically located at Yos Sudarso, part of Lubuklinggau's city center. The mall has three floors and is built on 2.3 hectares of land.
The mall's anchor tenants include Matahari Department Store, the department stores' 146th outlet in Indonesia. Hypermart is also an anchor tenant.
Cinemaxx movie theater, which is highly anticipated by Lubuklinggau residents will come to the mall early next year around March or April, according to an official statement. It will have four studios and will accommodate up to 450 moviegoers.
Other tenants include Maxx Coffee and Timezone, a gaming entertainment center.
Lippo Plaza Lubuklinggau invested Rp 750 billion ($56 million) in the project. In addition, 75 percent of its employees are from the local community.
It is also a mixed-use development as a Siloam Hospital will be built in its complex at a later date.
