MatahariMall.Com Partners With AEON Credit Service for Installment Program
Jakarta. MatahariMall.com, the Lippo Group’s online retailer, has introduced a new installment scheme called Super Cintaku (Super Cicilan Tanpa Kartu or Super Installment Without Credit Card), a joint effort with AEON Indonesia, the local branch of the Japanese financial service provider.
Super Cintaku has been running its trial period for ten days and currently has 160 items that can be purchased on credit at MatahariMall.com, most of which are electronic devices and furniture, according to Hadi Wenas, MatahariMall.com CEO.
“With our long history and presence in Indonesia, we have a competitive advantage of understanding Indonesia as a market. And what we learned is that Indonesians love to pay in installments, and we want to provide this method to our customers,” said Hadi.
With the scheme, customers can purchase any item on credit and pay in installments, with installment periods ranging from three to 72 months.
Customers will be required to place a refundable deposit, and be assessed for creditworthiness by AEON. If the credit is granted, customers will then receive their purchases within seven days.
“When we were approached by MatahariMall.com two months ago, we welcomed this idea with open arms as we have always wanted to venture into the digital economy,” said Danu Sidharta Soe’oed, AEON Indonesia's credit services operations director.
The installment scheme is currently only opened to residents of the Greater Jakarta area, but will be expanding to other large cities in Indonesia.
MatahariMall.com is optimistic about the upcoming months, after recent deals with AEON Indonesia, Dompetku+, and Grab.
MatahariMall.com and the Jakarta Globe are affiliated through the Lippo Group.
