Mirae Asset to Add Eastsprings Mutual Funds into Their Platform

FEBRUARY 17, 2021

Jakarta. Broker Mirae Asset Sekuritas will soon add mutual funds from Eastsprings Investment Indonesia, one of the country's largest investment managers, into their trading platform MaxFund, following the signing of a partnership agreement.

Eastsprings Indonesia director Ari Pitojo and Mirae Asset Sekuritas deputy director wealth management Fajrin Noor Hermansyah signed an agreement on mutual fund products distribution in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Mirae Asset Sekuritas will offer equity funds Eastspring Investment Value Discovery and fixed-income funds Eastspring Investments IDR High Grade, among others, to their clients. Also soon to be available on Maxfund are sharia fixed income funds Eastspring Investments Syariah Fixed Income Amanah and money market funds Eastspring Investments Cash Reserve.

“People are becoming more aware of the importance of investing for the future. This, of course, would require an investment manager that can manage funds professionally and a sales agent who provides an array of funds that suit the client's risk profile and their purpose of investing,” Ari said, as quoted from his written statement.

"We hope our four mutual funds can help the Mirae Asset Sekuritas clients to diversify their investment portfolio to achieve their long-term financial goal and to give the best financial solution that adds value."

According to Fajrin, Eastspring Indonesia's products will be available with a minimum purchase of Rp 50,000 ($3.55).

"We are certain Eastsprings Indonesia and Mirae Asset Sekuritas can make an impactful contribution to the mutual fund's industry in Indonesia," he said.

Eastspring Indonesia managed around Rp 87.6 trillion of mutual and discretionary funds as of Dec 30, 2020, up 9.5 percent from Rp 80 trillion in June that year, the company data showed.
