Mitsubishi Fuso Funds Scholarships From Campaign to Support Truck Drivers

MARCH 15, 2018

Jakarta. Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors, official distributor for Mitsubishi Fuso Trucks and Bus Corporation, and its brand ambassador, legendary singer Iwan Fals, ended a roadshow campaign titled "Contribution for the Country, Journey of a Million Hopes" on Thursday (15/03).

The roadshow was organized in appreciation of Mitsubishi Fuso's loyal customers and truck drivers. The company wants to make sure the hard work of the drivers, who support our daily needs by delivering goods all around Indonesia, does not go unnoticed.

The effort was supported by a social media campaign, which between November and February attracted 12,500 participants to use hashtags #TerimakasihSupirTruk and #FusoKontribusi.

The social media following contributed to Mitsubishi Fuso's scholarships for the truck drivers' children. It proved a great success along with the company's previous video campaign.

It was the first time a commercial truck company made people join online for the sake of drivers and their families.

For each post published with the #FusoKontribusi hashtag, the company donated Rp 10,000 (70 US cents). At the end of the campaign and roadshow, it awarded 11 scholarships worth in total Rp 333 million.

They were symbolically handed to the winners by KTB's management team and the legendary singer.

KTB presented to Iwan the Colt Diesel FE 74 stage truck he used during the roadshow trip to 10 cities: Denpasar (Bali), Semarang (Central Java), Cirebon (West Java), Serang (Banten), Lampung, Surabaya (East Java), Palembang (South Sumatra), Pekanbaru (Riau), Padang (West Sumatra) and Medan (North Sumatra). The truck was reliable and saw the team through many kilometers on various terrains and in all kinds of weather conditions during the four-month-long trip. KTB expressed its hope it will accompany the singer during his future tours.
