East Kalimantan. President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo officially inaugurated three projects in Indonesia's future capital, Nusantara: the Australian Independent School (AIS) campus, the Teras Hutan Ibu Kota Nusantara restaurant by Plataran, and the Magnum Resort Nusantara.

The resort is the result of a partnership investment between local entrepreneurs and Russian investors from Magnum Estate.

“Today, we are breaking ground on the Magnum Resort Nusantara, an exclusive luxury residence built with an investment of around Rp 300 billion ($19.88 million) on a 1.3-hectare site,” Jokowi said during the inauguration ceremony in Nusantara on Wednesday.

He noted that the presence of Magnum Resort in Nusantara will provide more quality property options and greater flexibility for those wishing to reside in the new capital.

The AIS Nusantara campus is set to be built on a 7,900-square-meter site and is expected to accommodate approximately 750 students from preschool to high school.

“I hope AIS, with its 28-year reputation and track record in education, can offer world-class education in Nusantara, promote high-quality global education, and provide quality educational options for residents of the capital from various regions, countries, and backgrounds,” he said.

AIS will feature complete international-standard facilities, including classrooms equipped with various amenities such as a mini soccer field, tennis court, basketball court, badminton court, volleyball court, semi-Olympic swimming pool, and an auditorium with a capacity of 250 people.

Meanwhile, the Teras Hutan Ibu Kota Nusantara, built on a 2,000-square-meter site, is projected to be completed within a year. This restaurant, developed by Plataran, will offer a five-star dining experience, providing a world-class venue for fine dining.
