Rachmat Kaimuddin Replaces Achmad Zacky as Bukalapak Boss

Jakarta. The founders of Indonesian e-commerce platform Bukalapak on Monday elected Rachmat Kaimuddin as the company's new chief executive replacing Achmad Zacky.

Rachmat is a former treasury and planning director at Bank Bukopin, Bukalapak said in a statement on Monday.

"The new chief executive will start work on Jan. 6, 2020," the company said, adding that co-founder Achmad will continue in his role as mentor.

His new Achmad Zacky Foundation is set to be launched soon.

"We established Bukalapak to create a positive impact on small and medium enterprises. I am proud that within 10 years the company has grown into a prominent e-commerce platform in Indonesia and globally. Rachmat's leadership should help the company reach the next level," Achmad said.

At the moment, Bukalapak has 70 million customers, more than five million tenants and 2.5 million partners. It was established in 2016.
