S. Korean Developer Building Villa-Hotel in Lombok
Jakarta. The One Partners, a South Korean-based property developer, says it is developing a villa-hotel project worth Rp 250 billion ($19 million) in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.
Eric Kim, chief executive officer of The One Partners, said recently that the company sees growing potential from tourism in Lombok. He added that tourism is growing, with many foreign tourists from Europe, Asia and Australia come to the island, thanks to direct flights to Lombok.
“There has been a significant increase in foreign and domestic tourists coming to Lombok from 2010 through 2014. The average increase of tourists is 20 percent per year,” Kim said.
Lombok, with pristine beaches and lush hills and mountains, has attractions similar to Bali, which is popular among tourists.
The One Partners, a unit of South Korean-based The Voo Architect & Engineers Group, will build the villa-hotel — to be called Royal Tulip — on 20 hectares with a capacity of 61 villas.
The project offers three types of villas, at retail prices ranging from $374,850 tp $540,000, and is aimed at tourists seeking privacy during their holiday. The villa-hotel also provides a 300-meter stretch of private beach and other facilities such as restaurant, pool, wedding chapel, spa and bar.
