Samsung GALAXY Note 4 Inspires People to Leave Greater Marks through Collaborations

Jakarta - Continuing the excitement of Samsung GALAXY Note 4 availability in Indonesia, Samsung Electronics Indonesia (SEIN) have conducted a series of activities entitled Note 4 Collaboration to encourage consumers’ participation in using the Samsung GALAXY Note 4 for something inspirational through collaborations. Today, Samsung revealed its creative result of such a collaboration, which was organized between MINI, Sir Dandy and Dee Lestari during the final quarter of last year.

“Today, we are delighted to present an exhibition showcasing the final result of our digital-based brand activation, Note 4 Collaboration, a creative collaboration with MINI, Sir Dandy and Dee Lestari,” said Vebbyna Kaunang, Marketing Director – IM Business, SEIN. “As the consumers will see for themselves how the doodles created and submitted by them throughout the Note 4 Collaboration project have been transformed into a unique and stunning, yet inspirational artwork made by Sir Dandy.”

The exhibition showcases an doodle artwork developed by Sir Dandy and portrait on theNEW MINI Hatchback, together with a series of hand-written artworks inspired by Dee Lestari’s book “Filosofi Kopi”, will be opened for public starting today, january 8 until January 11, at Pacific Place Mall.

Collaboration in a creative way has been the soul of Samsung GALAXY Note 4 in communicating through different approaches, as well as delivering its added values to the users. “This time Samsung chose to showcase the doodle artwork developed by Sir Dandy and artwork by Dee Lestari since Samsung believe that through doodle and artwork, many people will have a new positive inspirations to be applied in their daily life.

“Collaborating with Samsung GALAXY Note 4 and seeing the doodle art made by Sir Dandy applied in a MINI is such an art distinction. Now Samsung GALAXY Note 4 have connectivity with MINI through USB cable. This will make the MINI series owner to have a safety internet-surf while driving. MINI has developed MINI Connected application to make the connectivity with Samsung GALAXY Note 4 easier,” added Anna Hemmer, from MINI Indonesia.

Collaboration is also the reason behind the digital-based brand activation in a series of activities themed Note 4 Collaboration which was conducted by Samsung GALAXY Note 4. It is aimed to showcase how a collaboration between the S-Pen and S-Note of the Samsung GALAXY Note 4, people can generate ideas creating greater impacts and inspiring others.

The Note 4 Collaboration involved Sir Dandy whose role was to select and curate which doodles, sent through through hashtag #Note4Sketch, would be transformed into doodle art to be applied on a MINI unit , while Dee Lestari selected which unique artworks would be submitted by the consumers based on quotes from Dee’s  book FilosofiKopi, through the #Note4Story.

“Doodle is an art which has evolved through many a millennia, and we often waste our time whenever we have wild ideas in our mind. Nowadays, Doodles have been used art therapy in applied psychology science. Our enhanced S-Pen and S-Note in Samsung GALAXY Note 4 make doodling and capturing ideas or thought in a more convenient way,” added Vebbyna. “Not only capturing our ideas in doodle and notes, consumers can also share them with their friends or colleague through email and chatting apps. Hence, spreading the excitement of creating a collaborative works or initiative for something great can be manageable in real time.”

As a doodle artist, graphic designer, and musician to the band Teenage Death Star, Sir Dandy found his interest towards the arts since an early age, when he started to find comfort in expressing his ideas and creativity through doodling. Graduating from the Faculty of Arts in Institute Technology Bandung, Sir Dandy often draws human figures in all shapes and poses. Sir Dandy’s artwork have become must-have collections for contemporary art lovers.

“I normally capture any thought or inspiration flashing into my mind, whenever and wherever, immediately, through any media that I can easily find around me, be it in a piece of clean paper, or even the used ones,” explained Sir Dandy. “I do not want any idea or thought vanish easily. I need to memorize and document them before I explore and elaborate them further into any kind of work of art I can imagine creating.”

“Thanks to Samsung GALAXY Note 4 and its helpful S-Pen and S-Note. Having S-Pen sensitivity and advanced technology, it makes my job easier to document any idea or inspiration that flashes into my mind through doodles digitally in a complete precision and plus I can document and share them in a real time through email or chatting apps.”

In the Note 4 Collaboration project, Sir Dandy was involved to curate and select which doodles which are suitable to be transformed into a doodle art and applied it in a body of MINI.

Not only for doodling, the S-Pen and S-Note of the Samsung GALAXY Note 4 delivers a writing experience like writing on a piece of paper with a pen or pencil. Through this series of activities, Samsung also encourages its consumers to remember the enjoyment of writing by using the S-Note and S-Pen that feels as real as writing on a piece of paper.

“Together with Samsung GALAXY Note 4, through this event, I want to remind the consumers on the joy of writing and capturing our ideas with our own handwriting,” explained Dee Lestari. “Using the advanced technology from Samsung GALAXY Note 4 with S-Pen and S-Note, it makes me easy to write on my ideas while I observe people’s daily life and its environment which often becomes the inspiration of my book.”

“I am glad that the tradition of ‘analog writing’ is well-preserved by Samsung GALAXY Note 4 through its iconic feature, S-Pen and S-Note which deliver writing experiences in digital world,” added Dee. “More importantly, I am amazed that there are still a lot of Samsung’s consumers who still find comfort in hand-writing. We felt the enthusiasm through the consumers’ participation in #Note4Story.” The success of Note 4 Collaboration project can be seen from the interests we got out of submission and participation from the consumers, which shows the consumers are open for any collaborative effort or initiative as long as it is for a positive cause and to create greater marks for the society.
