Service Recovery Satellite Telkom-1: Recovery Connectivity Customer Service Has Recovered 100%

PT Telkom Indonesia (Telkom) ensures Telkom-1 Satellite customer connectivity service has recovered 100% since Sunday at 24.00 WIB (10/9). That is, connectivity of 15,019 sites of customer service, whether 11,574 sites of ATM services or 3,445 sites Non-ATM has recovered as per commitment.

Upon completion of the restoration of all customer service connectivity, Minister of Communications & Informatics Rudiantara appreciated the hard work of Telkom group's all over Indonesia. "I would like to thank TelkomGroup, especially TelkomGroup technicians in the field for the totality of restoring all sites in various locations, ranging from urban locations to remote areas that are difficult to reach," said Rudiantara during a press conference with Telkom Management at the Ministry of Communications and Informatics Office on Tuesday 12/9).

Meanwhile, Telkom President Director Alex J. Sinaga said that Telkom uses three service recovery solutions. "In addition to repointing the antenna ground segment, Telkom also utilizes two alternative technologies as a temporary solution to speed recovery of a number of sites. Composition, as much as 81% repointing antenna parabola ground segment, 14% using Machine to Machine (M2M) system, and the remaining 5% utilize fiber optic technology, "explained Alex.

Alex continued, Telkom is still guarding tightly the stability of the entire network of sites. "Telkom is still continuing the Crisis Center Service Recovery function to monitor the stability of the quality of customer service after this connectivity recovery," Alex continued. Going forward, Telkom will coordinate with its customers to return the temporary solution to a permanent solution gradually. In addition, Telkom will also intensively cooperate with the Ministry of Communications and Informatics to secure the orbital slot 108 BT to the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

Once again Telkom expressed gratitude to the various parties who have supported the completion of service recovery service Satellite Telkom-1 so it can be completed on time. Telkom is always committed to prioritize the needs of customers and the people of Indonesia.
