Siloam to Acquire Tenth Hospital in West Java for Rp 130b
Jakarta. Siloam International Hospitals, the hospital operator arm of conglomerate Lippo Group, is about to acquire a hospital in Cirebon, West Java, for Rp 130 billion — around $9.7 million, the company's president director said in a statement.
"Cirebon has a large potential and will be the new engine growth in West Java. Acquiring a hospital in the region will give many benefits to the company as there are two mega infrastructure projects still under construction within 60 kilometers from Cirebon, the Kertajati International Airport and the Patimban deep-sea port," Siloam International Hospitals President Director Ketut Budi Wijaya said in a statement received by the Jakarta Globe on Tuesday (23/05).
Siloam will take over Putera Bahagia hospital to further strengthen its presence in West Java. The hospital will be the tenth Siloam hospital in the province.
The four-storey Putera Bahagia hospital has a 105-bed capacity and covers an area of 8,209 square meters. The hospital books around Rp 63 billion in revenue every year. Siloam is planning to add more beds in the hospital and new services and facilities, including CT-scan and MRI scan.
Siloam employs 2,400 doctors, 8,600 nurses and support staff in 26 hospitals and 16 clinics in 19 cities across the archipelago. The company has Rp 14.6 trillion in market capitalization as of May 23.
The Jakarta Globe and GlobeAsia are affiliated with Siloam through the Lippo Group.
