Sriwijaya Air Boeing 737-300 Damaged During Landing at Juanda Airport
Jakarta. A Boeing 737-300 operated by budget airline Sriwijaya Air sustained damage to its fuselage during landing at Juanda International Airport in Surabaya, East Java, on Tuesday morning (11/10), flight navigation service AirNav Indonesia said in a statement.
No passengers or ground crew members were injured in the incident, but it forced the airport authority to halt all flights to from the airport between 11:20 a.m. and 11:35 a.m. for a preliminary investigation.
"An investigation into the incident will be conducted by the KNKT [National Transportation Safety Committee]," AirNav Indonesia corporate secretary Didiet Kus Sam Radityo said in the statement. "At present, Juanda airport has returned to normal operations."
