Jakarta. Property developer Synthesis Development has opened its first shopping center, Mall@Bassura, in Jatinegara, East Jakarta, this week.

The shopping center is built on four hectares of land in the Bassura City apartment complex, which comprises nine residential towers.

The mall boasts a strategic location as it is within striking distance of the Kuningan and Kasablanka areas in South Jakarta and the Sudirman area in Central Jakarta, the company said in a statement on Thursday (26/05).

Several companies have already concluded agreements to rent retail space in Mall@Bassara. This includes mini-market Superindo, Cinema XXI, Inul Vizta Karaoke, Heritage factory outlet, The Executive, Color Box, Tira Jeans, Starbucks, Lotteria, Tawan, Ichiban Sushi, and Bakmi GM.

Synthesis Development was established in 1992 as ProLease, a property management and shopping center consultancy. The company currently has a large number of projects involving retail properties, residential apartment blocks, offices and hotels.

The developer's latest projects are Synthesis Residence in Kemang and Synthesis Square in Jalan Gatot Subroto, both in South Jakarta.
