Telco Tower Operator Solusi Tunas Sets Rp 1.8 Trillion Revenue Target for 2015

JUNE 03, 2015

Jakarta. Telecommunication tower operator Solusi Tunas Pratama has set a target revenue of  Rp 1.8 trillion ($134 million) this year, a 70 percent increase from 2014’s aim of Rp 1.07 trillion, with the acquisition of additional towers, and the expansion of both its micro-cell services and indoor Distributed Antenna System network.

Solusi Tunas president director Nobel Tanihaha felt optimistic the company would be able to reach the ambitious target, having set aside Rp 800 billion to Rp 1 trillion in capital expenditure.

“We would like to get 1,500 tenants and buy around 500 to 750 new towers. That’s why we expect higher revenue and net profit,” Nobel said.

Solusi Tunas booked Rp 438 billion in revenue in the first quarter of 2015, up 79 percent from Rp 245 billion in the same period last year. Net income, however, declined 29 percent to Rp 30.5 billion.

Meanwhile, the company’s earning before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (Ebitda) grew to Rp 387 billion in in the January-March period, from Rp 203 billion in the same period of 2014.
