Telkom Sets To Become "The King of Digital" in 2015

PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (Telkom) has recently submitted the Consolidated Financial Statements 2014 that has been audited by the Indonesian Financial Services Authority (OJK). Telkom's financial and operational performance in 2014 shows the company's ability to continue growing in the midst of competition in the telecommunication industry.

Throughout 2014, Telkom earned revenues of Rp. 89.7 trillion, and increase of 8.1% compared to revenues earned in the same period in the previous year. Telkomsel, as the subsidiary of Telkom even achieved double-digit growth of 10.4%. Meanwhile, EBITDA grew from 9.7% to Rp. 45.8 trillion with an net profit rose 3.0% to Rp. 14.6 trillion. "Telkom has shown brilliant performance throughout 2014 with growth in revenues, EBITDA and net profit by 10.4%, 10.0% and 11.9% compared to the same period in the previous years," said Alex J Sinaga, Director of Telkom.

Most of the financial income in 2014 was dominated by data, Internet and IT services (including SMS) with a contribution of 42.0% to total revenue. Cellular voices services accounted for 38.2% followed by fixed network voice revenues with a contribution of 9.9%. Another contribution of 9.8% came from interconnection, network and others.

The revenues from data, Internet and IT services has increased 24% to Rp. 24.1 trillion compared to the same period in 2013. The mobile data services has successfully recorded a revenue growth of 34.2% from Rp. 10.5 trillion in 2013 to Rp. 14.1 in 2014. Meanwhile, Fixed Broadband service also grew by 7.8% from Rp. 4.6 trillion to Rp. 4.9 trillion in 2014.

Telkom's satisfactory performance can not be separated from the company's main focus on two main programs in 2014, namely Telkomsel Indonesian Digital Network (IDN) and International Expansion. Telkom has also provided network access and Wifi passes through @Wifi.Id to all regions in Indonesia. By the end of 2014, Telkom has provided as many as 170 thousand of Wifi access scattered throughout Indonesia.

Telkom remains committed in continuing the development of the telecommunication infrastructure. In addition to the interest to the nation and the Republic of Indonesia in overall, Telkom is also set to maintain and improve the company's performance in the upcoming years. Therefore, Telkom has set three main programs which are "Maintain Double Digit Growth", Indonesia Digital Network "Drive Digital Business" and International Expansion "Stretch & Expand International Business".
