Telkomtelstra To Bridge Business Relations Between Australia and Indonesia

Telkomtestra, Telkom Indonesia Joint Ventere with Telstra, has recently esthablished cooperation with the Asia Society to accomodate a special gathering entitled "Connecting Australia and Indonesia" in Sydney, Australia (25/5). The gathering aims to improve the business relationship of Australia and Indonesia as well as introducing telkomtelstra which was launched in Jakarta on May 13, 2015. The gathering was attended by more than 100 Australian companies that is part of the Asia Society members who are planning to open a business in Indonesia.
Director of Enterprise & Business Service Telkom Muhammad Awaluddin. During his visit to Australia, Awaluddin also visited one of the Australian company, BIS Industries that engaged in the Mining Services and has also been investing in Indonesia.
Awaluddin stated that the gathering is a truly important initiative to inspire the market and the business community, especially regarding the business prospect in Indonesia. Telkomtelstra is determined to support the provision of Information and Community Technology (ICT) in Indonesia for Australian companies who invest in Indonesia.
This event brought together several panellists, namely Bruce Gosper-CEO of Austrade, Allestar Cox - Assistant Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia, Hon Warwick Smith AM - Chairman Asia Society Australia, Brendon Riley - Group Executive Global Enterprise and Services Telstra and Phill Sporton- President Director telkomtelstra. The panelists shared their views and information on business opportunities and challenges in Indonesia, as well as potential sectors and the factors to be considered in entering the Indonesian market.
"Indonesia prioritizes "Relationship before Rights", and the importance of building relationship before claiming rights," said Phill Sporton, while sharing his insight in building business in Indonesia. Phill added that Indonesia is suitable for the Australian company who are seeking to esthablish long term business in Indonesia.
The panellists agreed that Indonesia is Australia's closest neighbour, and is regarded as part of the Rise of Asia, which important for Australian companies to increase the Asian market. Australian companies are encouraged to focus not only on Java but also outside Java, such as Eastern Indonesia with enormous growth potential.
