Trucks Now Get 30% Discount on Cipali Toll Road

APRIL 09, 2016

Jakarta. Toll-road operator Lintas Marga Sedaya has started to discount tariffs for trucks on the Cikopo-Palimanan toll road in West Java by 30 percent on Friday (08/04).

"The discount started at 6.00 a.m. [on Friday] and will apply for a month, until 6.00 a.m. on May 8," LMS deputy director Hudaya Arryanto said in Jakarta on Friday.

The tariff levied on the longest distance from Cikopo to Palimanan will be reduced to Rp 110,000 ($8.40) from Rp 144,000 previously for class II vehicles (trucks with two axles). The tariff for class III vehicles will be reduced to Rp 150,000; class IV vehicles to Rp 180,000; and class V vehicles to Rp 210,000 over the same distance.

According to Hudaya, the program known as "Bulan Diskon Truk Cipali Hoki," expects to benefit truck drivers making use of the toll road, reducing traveling times and saving fuel. The freeway is 40 kilometers shorter than the North Coast Highway, known as Pantura.

The toll-road operator hopes to improve regional logistics, especially in areas directly connected to the Cipali toll road, by encouraging more truck drivers to make use of the freeway.
