WRI Seeking Developers for Community-Based Peatland Monitoring Initiative
Jakarta. WRI is inviting tenders from interested companies to be considered for a contract to work on web development and UI-UX services to develop a virtual platform initiative to monitor and visualize various aspects of peatland restoration in Indonesia.
Founded in 1982, The World Resources Institute, or WRI, is a global environmental think tank that goes beyond research to put ideas into action. WRI’s transformative ideas protect the earth and promote development because sustainability is essential to meeting human needs and fulfilling human aspirations in the future.
The objective of the platform is to visualize restoration commitments from both the public and private sectors in achieving restoration targets. The platform will also need to be able to monitor and visualize several key themes such as: forest fire on peat, restoration infrastructures and the implementation of moratorium on peatland opening.
The platform will need to be the source of all information pertaining to peat that can be easily understood by the general public, is user friendly and can act as a hub between investors of sustainable peatland businesses, restoration actors, and researchers. The chosen vendor will submit deliverables for approval and work closely with the WRI Indonesia in-country team.
The project is anticipated to start from mid-June 2019 and cannot continue past March 2021. To receive the full Request for Proposals document outlining the Scope of Work (SoW) and selection criteria, sub-contracting regulations and requirements, and vendor eligibility criteria, please email Procurement-Indonesia@wri.org with a signed Expression of Intent (EoI) by May 17, 2019.
The EoI must include contact information, a brief statement of interest, and a brief list of examples of previous work related to the project described in the paragraph above. From all submissions, WRI will choose four (4) short-listed candidates and only these short-listed firms will be issued the SoW, regulations, and criteria.
Any questions about this notice should be directed to Procurement-Indonesia@wri.org or visit their site here.
