Jakarta. President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo's daughter, Kahiyang Ayu, will marry Bobby Nasution on Nov. 8, the first family announced during a press conference in Solo, Central Java, on Sunday (17/09).

The wedding ceremony will be held at the Graha Sabha Buana building, a property owned by Jokowi's family in Solo.

"The wedding ceremony will be simple. The matrimony and reception will be held on Nov. 8, and the traditional ritual of Siraman will be held on Nov. 7. The wedding preparations are 80 percent complete," said Gibran Rakabuming, the president's eldest son.

Bobby, a son of former PTPN IV president director Erwin Nasution, is of North Sumatran Mandailing descent, but the wedding ceremony will follow Javanese tradition.

"It will be the same as my wedding two years ago. The event in Solo will be very traditional," Gibran said, adding that it will not take place on Saturday or Sunday, as the venue was already booked by other couples.

"The same thing happened when I was going to have my wedding. The building was fully booked [on weekends]," he said.

Jokowi said the couple will be wearing traditional Solo attires.

The president did not reveal how many people will be invited to the ceremony.
