Alila Hotels, Kaja Group Partner With Hakkasan in Bali Luxury Venture
Jakarta. Global hospitality group Hakkasan has announced plans to open a new venture at Uluwatu, Bali, in partnership with local hospitality developer Kaja Group and Alila Hotels and Resorts.
The new destination will consist of the world's first Omnia day club – a branch-out from its Las Vegas site – and Sake No Hana Japanese eatery, housed within Alila Hotel's The Cliff at Alila Villas Uluwatu.
The partnership will also bring Sake no Hana, Omnia nightclub and Hakkasan restaurant to Alila's SCBD Hotel in Jakarta, with plans to extend to other cities in Indonesia and to Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia.
"Two in every five tourists visit Bali while in Indonesia and the country's young, and increasingly urban population makes it one of the fastest-growing consumer markets in the world – these factors create a unique opportunity for Hakkasan Group to enter the market at this time," Hakkasan Group chief executive Neil Moffitt said in a statement on Thursday (08/09).
"We are proud to partner with Kaja Group in presenting the renowned Hakkasan Group hospitality brands to the Alila clientele – chalking up yet another first in Bali," Alila Hotels and Resorts chief executive Frederic Simon said.
With a $38 million investment deal, the partnership is expected to generate 400 jobs in Bali and another 339 in Jakarta.
The new projects in the two cities are scheduled to open by next year.
