Jonatan Christie Wins Gold in Badminton

Jakarta. Badminton star Jonatan Christie on Tuesday (28/08) defeated Chou Tien Chen of Chinese Taipei in the men's finals, adding another gold to Indonesia's Asian Games medal count.
Jonatan, who is ranked 15th in the world, won 21-18, 20-22 and 21-15.
The 20-year-old gave a robust performance in a fierce battle against world number six Chou, who defeated fellow Indonesian shuttler Anthony Ginting in the semifinals.
Marcus Gideon and Kevin Sukamuljo, who are currently the world's top ranked men's doubles team, secured another gold in badminton on Tuesday afternoon, after a tight match against another Indonesian duo, Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Rian Ardianto.
Badminton has been Indonesia's most successful sport of all times, contributing 91 Asian Games medals since 1962 — among them 28 golds.
Indonesia has already won 24 gold medals at this year's Asian Games.
