KPK Announces Twenty Candidates to Become Next Chairman
Jakarta. Indonesia's national antigraft agency, the Corruption Eradication Commission or KPK, has announced a list of twenty candidates to be considered as the agency's next chairman.
"We've selected 20 candidates out of 40 who had gone through a profile test. The new chairperson will head the KPK from 2019 to 2023," the head of the KPK's selection committee, Yenti Ganarsih, said on Friday.
The latest list of candidates will undergo a health test, an interview and a public assessment to go through to the next round of selection.
The health test is scheduled to take place on Monday at the Gatot Soebroto Army hospital in Central Jakarta.
The interview and the public assessment sessions will be held at the State Secretary office on Aug. 27-29. Seven candidates will undergo both sessions each day.
KPK's previous chairman Basaria Pandjaitan had failed a psychological test in the early rounds of the selection process and is no longer considered for the position. Another ex-chairman, Laode M.
