Jakarta. Prabowo Subianto and his entourage left Indonesia for Dubai in the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday. No date has been set for their return, an Immigration Office spokesman said on Wednesday.

Prabowo was accompanied by three Indonesian nationals, two Russian nationals, a US national and a German national. They flew to Dubai on a charter plane from Halim Perdanakusumah Airport in East Jakarta on Tuesday morning.

"Yes, it's true. [Prabowo] has gone to Dubai.... We don't know when he will return, or why he has gone [there]," Sam Fernando, the Immigration Office spokesman, told the Jakarta Globe.

No travel ban has been issued against Prabowo since he is not involved in any legal proceedings, Sam said.

"All travel bans are recorded online. If our officers allow an individual to leave the country, that means he has not been issued with a travel ban," Sam said.
