Waskita Reality Expands Teraskita Brand to Bandung, Makassar
Jakarta. Waskita Karya Realty, the property arm of listed construction company Waskita Karya, will expand its hospitality business by opening four more hotels under the Teraskita brand over the next few years.
Waskita Realty president director Tukijo said the construction of Teraskita hotels in Bandung, West Java, and Makassar, South Sulawesi, were still underway, while two others, in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, and in Aceh, were still in the planning stages.
"We have developed the Teraskita Hotel brand based on a management and professional service vision to fulfill all the customer's needs," Tukijo said.
Waskita Realty identified demand for economical lodgings with complete facilities near the central business districts of Indonesia's major cities.
This prompted the company to introduce the hotel chain in 2016, based on the concept of three-star-plus hotels offering four-star services and facilities.
The company opened its first Teraskita Hotel in Jalan M.T. Haryono, East Jakarta. The 150-room hotel has meeting rooms and other facilities to cater to the business community.
Teraskita Hotel Jakarta also received a "Gold Green Building" certificate and is considered to have a unique and modern building structure, as well as being surrounded by indigenous vegetation that support the eco-green concept.
Waskita Realty's 125-room Teraskita Hotel Bandung is being built on 1,500 square meters of land the company owns in Jalan Asia-Afrika. The similar-sized Teraskita Hotel Makassar is being built in Jalan A.P. Pettarani, also on company-owned land.
Tukijo said the hotels would be optimizing the value of the company's assets and boost its recurring income.
