Airport Operator Angkasa Pura I Gets a New Boss
Jakarta. State-Owned Enterprises Minister Rini Soemarno appointed Danang S. Baskoro as president director of airport operator Angkasa Pura I on Tuesday (18/10) as part of the ministry's strategy to reorganize state-owned companies to improve their performance.
"I'm just doing my job and follow the mandate of the stakeholder. I'm ready to accept my duties," Danang said, as quoted by Antaranews.com.
Danang was president director of state-owned transportation operator ASDP Indonesia Ferry before his appointment in the new position. He previously held various positions at state-owned gas utility Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) and he also served as a deputy at the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, overseeing logistics and tourism.
Outgoing Angkasa Pura I president director Sulistyo Wimbo Hardjito was quoted by Kompas.com as saying that he plans to remain active in the aviation industry. He did not provide any details.
The state-owned airport operator recently announced plans to raise Rp 3 trillion ($230 million) with the sale of conventional and Islamic bonds next month to build five airports.
Angkasa Pura I currently operates 13 airports in central and eastern Indonesia.
