Ananta Wiyogo Appointed as Chief of State Financing Company SMF
Jakarta. State-run financing company Sarana Multigriya Finansial, or SMF, has appointed Ananta Wiyogo as its new chief executive, replacing Raharjo Adisusanto.
The appointment is effective immediately and the lender enacted the management handover at its offices in South Jakarta on Thursday (25/08).
"Hopefully the directors would be able to work together and run the company as we will continue to implement a good corporate governance system in accordance with our vision and mission and that of our shareholders," Ananta said.
He also expects the secondary mortgage facility to develop more rapidly, further enhancing opportunities for members of the public to purchase their own homes.
Ananta served as president director of BNI Securities before his appointment at SMF. He held chief executive positions at the Indonesian Central Securities Depository (KSEI) from 2007 to 2013 and state-run credit agency Pefindo from 2001 to 2007.
Jakarta-based SMF, established in 2005, provides secondary mortgage financing services in Indonesia. It is a state-owned company under the umbrella of the Ministry of Finance. It does not directly deal with debtors like banks do, but provides banks with mortgage securitization programs and investment products from mortgage-backed securities.
As of June this year, the company had disbursed Rp 24.44 billion ($1.8 million) from the capital market through the housing finance sector, which is equivalent to 6.98 times the paid-in capital.
