Jakarta. Dubai-based airline Emirates is set to add daily routes between Bali, Dubai and Auckland, New Zealand, in June 2018, the company said in a statement on Monday (19/02).

Emirates will operate the Bali-Auckland route once a day, while increasing the number of daily flights connecting Bali and Dubai to three, up from two.

The additional Bali-Dubai-Auckland connection will use the Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, offering eight seats in first class, 42 seats in business class and 304 seats in economy class, with 20 tons of cargo capacity per flight.

"We're pleased to introduce additional capacity to serve the strong demand for travel to Bali and to Auckland. We're confident that our year-round service between Auckland and Bali will be responded to by our customers, not only in New Zealand and Indonesia, but also from our global network such as the United Kingdom, Europe and the Middle East," Emirates president Sir Tim Clark said in the statement.

Flight EK 450 will depart from Dubai at 6.55 a.m. local time, arriving in Denpasar, Bali, at 8.20 p.m. before flying on to Auckland at 10 p.m. and arriving there at 10.10 a.m. the following day.

Flight EK 451 departs Auckland at 12.40 p.m., arriving in Denpasar at 5.55 p.m. local time. It will then depart Denpasar at 7.50 p.m. and arrive in Dubai a little past midnight the next day.

In addition to serving Bali, Emirates also operates 18 weekly flights between Jakarta and Dubai.
