HK Realtindo Launches Rp 400b Apartment Complex Near Soetta Airport
Jakarta. HK Realtindo, a subsidiary of state-controlled construction firm Hutama Karya, launched its latest residential development near Soekarno-Hatta International Airport just outside Jakarta, in a bid to attract airline staff and cargo company employees.
The Rp 400 billion ($30 million) project, known as H Residence at Soetta, will be constructed on 8,000 square meters along Jalan K.S. Tubun No. 54 in Tangerang, Banten. It is about 15 kilometers, or a 40-minute drive from the airport, according to Google Maps.
"We are optimistic of being able to provide more than 1,000 apartment units and a commercial area," HK Realtindo president director Koentjoro said in a statement on Monday (05/12).
The company held a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday last week and expects the 12-floor apartment complex to be completed within the next 30 months. Koentjoro said the complex will be equipped with an open-air swimming pool, a sky garden, lifestyle area and commercial space.
He added that there will be studio apartments of 23.78 square meters and two-bedroom units of 50.21 square meters, with prices starting from Rp 300 million per unit.
HK Realtindo is not the only company offering property in Tangerang. Other developers, including listed companies Lippo Karawaci and Modernland, have been active in the area for several years already.
Newer competitors, such as the Jakarta-based Pohon Group and Alam Sutera Realty, also have high-rise projects in Tangerang to meet growing demand from middle-income buyers. The Pohon Group has the TreePark City superblock development, while Alam Sutera has Kota Ayodhya.
