Jakarta. Nobu Bank officially opened its 100th branch, located on Veteran Street, Makassar on Monday (28/11).
The opening ceremony was marked by a plaque signing by Nobu Bank commissioner, Adrianus Mooy.
Adrianus said that it is a great opportunity to make a greater contribution to Eastern Indonesia's economy. The bank sees Makassar as a trade hub in Eastern Indonesia, which has a regional gross domestic product of Rp 110 trillion ($8.14 billion), the highest in Sulawesi.
Nobu Bank director, Suhaimin Johan, said that the new branch will expand its market and also sees it as a strong business opportunity because Eastern Indonesia has great potential for strong and long-term business growth.
At present, Nobu Bank operates 13 branches in cities across Eastern Indonesia, such as Manado in North Sulawesi, Makassar in South Sulawesi, Gorontalo, Palu in Central Sulawesi, Kendari in South-East Sulawesi, Kupang in East Nusa Tenggara, Ambon in Maluku and Ternate in North Maluku.
