Singapore Airlines to Cut 5 Weekly Flights to Jakarta From Dec. 1
Jakarta. Singapore Airlines will reduce the number of its flights to Jakarta on Dec. 1, due to runway maintenance work at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten, the carrier said in a statement on Monday (21/11).
"Indonesian authorities have informed the airline that five flights must be cut due to runway maintenance work at Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta International Airport," the statement said.
Singapore Airlines will cut SQ962 and SQ963 flights on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The flag carrier has been operating 63 round-trip flights to Jakarta per week.
The airline said it will contact customers with bookings on the affected flights to accommodate them on other flights.
The maintenance work at Indonesia's busiest airport had also forced Singapore Airlines to postpone its plans to launch a new route linking Singapore, Jakarta and Sydney.
