Everybody, Backstreet Boys Are Back Alright

Jakarta. Legendary '90s boyband Backstreet Boys will return to Jakarta for their tenth album world tour, the "DNA World Tour." The band, who recently celebrated their 26th anniversary, will play a concert at JIEXPO Kemayoran in Jakarta on Oct. 26.

The band’s last visit to Jakarta was in 2012. Tickets for the DNA World Tour concert will be availabe from May 10 on the Traveloka website.

Samantha Tzovolos, chief executive of concert promoter TEM, said ticket prices will range between Rp 950,000 and Rp 3.5 million.

Co-promoter PK Entertainment chief executive Peter Harjani said the concert will be disability-friendly.

"Disabled and special needs fans of the Backstreet Boys need not worry. We will have disability-friendly facilities installed at the concert site," Peter said.

Backstreet Boys' tenth album "DNA" features collaborations with Lauv (Charli XCX), Andy Grammer, Stuart Chrichton (DNCE) and Mike Sabbath (J Balvin). The album entered the Billboard chart at number one.

Their recent set lists also include classic mega hits such as "Quit Playing Games With My Heart," "I Want It That Way," "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)," "Shape of My Heart," "Show Me The Meaning of Being Lonely" and many more.

BSB is one the most successful and popular boybands in the world and has sold more than 100 million records.

It still features all its original members, Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson, Brian Luttrell, AJ McLean and Howie Dorough.

PK Entertainment marketing director Harry Sudarma said one of the band's riders is a "luxurious and artistic stage design."

Like Ed Sheeran recently, the band have also asked to be introduced to Indonesian food.

The promoter said they will serve an assortment of Indonesian desserts to the band, including the famous iced coconut milk drink "cendol."

Harry said they will also gift the band a set of angklung, an Indonesian wind instrument made from bamboo.

The DNA World Tour kicked off in Lisbon, Portugal, on May 11. This is the band’s biggest tour in 18 years. They will be performing in Europe, North America and Asia.

In Asia, the band will play in Tokyo, Osaka, Macau, Taipei, Bangkok, Jakarta, Manila and Singapore.
