Pop Star Rossa Lights Up 2017 Wonderful Tourism Awards

Jakarta. A sterling performance by Indonesian pop star Rossa closed the 2017 Wonderful Tourism Awards at Bidakara Hotel in Jakarta on Wednesday (27/09).

The singer delivered a set filled with her hit songs, "Pesona Indonesia" (Wonders of Indonesia), "Aku Bukan Untukmu" (I’m Not For You), "Ayat-Ayat Cinta" (Verses of Love) and "Sakura."

Rossa's song Pesona Indonesia is used as the theme song for several promotional videos produced by the Tourism Ministry.

"I'm proud that the ministry trusts me to sing Pesona Indonesia, especially since it has become the theme song to promote Indonesian tourism," Rossa said in a statement.

The event opened with a contemporary dance performance followed by Saman dance from Aceh.

Some of the awards presented during the night were the Indonesian Sustainable Tourism Award, Green Hotel Award, Homestay Award, Community-Based Tourism Award and Nusantara Restaurant Design Award.
