Bali. Even though the Indonesian government is heavily promoting its "10 New Balis," the original Island of the Gods is still the number one tourist destination in the archipelago, offering the irresistible combination of white-sand beaches, a lush tropical interior and incredible culture.

There are tons of hotels in Bali located near the island's numerous beaches, but only a few actually allow its guests an unobstructed view of the Indian Ocean. One of them is the luxurious, five-star Conrad Hilton Bali Resort.

Conrad Bali is a beachfront resort located on the southern coast of Bali, sprawled on seven hectares of tropical garden and 350 meters of pristine white sandy beach. Taking a walk on the beach, you will find all the serenity that tourism brochures suggest about Bali.

After your walk, you can relax at Eight Degrees South, the ultimate beachfront restaurant where you can feel sand on your toes and sea breeze in your hair as you savor a fine selection of fresh Mediterranean cuisine.

At the Conrad, there are 358 rooms to choose from, including guest rooms, suites and villas with a garden, pool or ocean view.

For couples seeking a little more privacy, suites are the best option since children are barred from the area. Each suite comes with a private pool for two.

The Conrad is disability-friendly with its Deluxe Room offering the most accessibility.

The resort's main restaurant Suku offers authentic Asian food from different regions of the continent made with locally-sourced produce and ingredients – try the traditional spicy Betutu Chicken – as well as western fares like its super juicy Wagyu Beef Burger.

The Conrad also has another restaurant called RIN that specializes in Japanese cuisine with an international twist. Enjoy an umami bowl of ramen noodles, a beautiful platter of sushi or a teppanyaki dinner under the stars.

Like many hotels and resorts in Indonesia, the Conrad also caters for upmarket weddings. Its beachfront chapel, called "Infinity," can fit up to 300 people.

If you prefer an outdoor wedding with a more tropical vibe, you could opt for a more rustic ceremony at the hotel's water garden or down on its private beach.

Businesses are also catered for at the Conrad, with complete facilities for meetings and conferences, as well as a state-of-the-art gym and a traditional Bali spa to relax after a day of wheelings and dealings.

The Conrad and the other two Hilton hotels in Bali have also ditched plastic bottles and straws for more environmentally friendly glass bottles and paper straws.

The resort is conveniently located only a 15-minute drive from the Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar.

If you look for the authentic Bali experience, the Conrad Hilton Bali Resort will give it to you in spades.
