Another Strong Quake Hits Lombok, No Tsunami Warning
Jakarta. A magnitude-7 earthquake hit Lombok Island in West Nusa Tenggara on Sunday night (19/08), followed by a series of strong aftershocks, the National Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency, or BMKG said.
The quake struck in the sea, 30 kilometers north-northeast of the island, the agency said on Twitter.

"Aftershocks continue. Electricity has been cut off," National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) spokesman Sutopo Nugroho said in a tweet.
Tremors were felt in East Lombok, North Lombok, West Sumbawa and Bali, where people rushed into the streets when the ground started shaking.
No tsunami warning has been issued.
