Jakarta. The Indonesia government plans to inject a total of Rp 49 trillion ($3.74 billion) to state firms and public services agencies in 2017, the finance minister said on Tuesday (16/08).

Earlier in the day, President Joko Widodo presented a proposal for the 2017 budget to parliament. The injections will need parliamentary approval.

Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati also said the government intends to issue Rp 389 trillion of bonds to finance the fiscal deficit of 2.41 percent of gross domestic product (GDP) expected in 2017, excluding bonds for refinancing and short-term cash management notes.
