2018 Asian Para Games Closing Ceremony
About 18,000 people attended the closing ceremony of the 2018 Asian Para Games at the Gelora Bung Karno Sports Complex in Central Jakarta on Saturday.
In his closing speech, Vice President Jusuf Kalla thanked all the athletes who participated in this year's event, as well as the Indonesia Asian Para Games Organizing Committee (Inapgoc) for all its hard work.
Indonesia won 37 gold, 47 silver and 51 bronze medals.
Before the start of the fireworks display, National Paralympic Committee president Senny Marbun handed a box containing a souvenir with the word "ability" inscribed on it, to his Chinese counterpart, Zhang Haidi.
The ceremony also saw Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan hand the Paralympic flag to Asian Paralympic Committee president Majid Rashed, who in turn handed it to Wang Hong, vice mayor of Hangzhou, which will host the 2022 Asian Para Games.
