HP Home Planet 2018 Showcases Futuristic Concepts, Innovative New Products
American multinational information technology company HP introduced its newest products during 2018 HP Home Planet at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Center in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday last week.
Josephine Tan, vice president of product management, and Koh Kong Meng, managing director and general manager for Southeast Asia and Korea, said the company designed its latest innovations with millennials in mind. She said they belong to a young, modern, "all-in-one" generation and a future segment of workers or consumers with high mobility but also needing privacy and security.
The company also launched its latest Spectre series notebook, which comes with a leather-covered case and has the smallest motherboard equipped with 5G connectivity currently available.
HP further displayed a wide variety of hardware aimed at consumers and small and medium businesses in the Southeast Asian market. This included the HP Elitebook, ZBook laptops and HP Z desktop. The company also introduced a new line of printers with environmentally friendly ink – the HP LaserJet MFP and HP Jet Fusion 3D.
NASA is sending 120 HP ZBook workstations to the International Space Station this year with the help of Indonesian architect Kadek Wicaksana, who won the 2018 HP Home Planet competition by creating infrastructure and urban planning concepts for life on Mars.
