Jakarta. The Asian Games' athletics event started with the women's marathon on Sunday (26/08). No Indonesian runners took part in the competition. 

Eighteen athletes run in the race that started at the Gelora Bung Karno stadium in Jakarta at 6 a.m., where it also finished.

Supporters were waiting for their favorite runners along the route.

Rose Chelimo of Bahrain won the race with a time of two hours 34 minutes and 51 seconds.
