Six Million Indonesians Hooked on LinkedIn

Jakarta. Professional networking site LinkedIn announced it now has over 433 million members worldwide — 6 million of them in Indonesia.

"LinkedIn has over 17 million members in Southeast Asia, and 6 million of them are in Indonesia," LinkedIn's Head of Southeast Asia Talent Solutions Frank Koo said in Jakarta on Tuesday (02/08), adding that Indonesia is the site's fastest growing market in Southeast Asia.

According to Frank, the majority of LinkedIn users find the website has a positive impact on their professional lives as it helps them with their personal branding.

The networking site has recently published a study titled "Your Story @Work," which revealed that 78 percent of decision makers use LinkedIn in recruitment process to check the profiles of potential candidates  73 percent of them agree that online impression is just as important as offline appearance.
