Singapore Celebrates the Art of Whisky
Jakarta. Singapore will bring whisky and other spirits from all over the world to the eighth edition of Whisky Live on Nov. 25-26.
The two-day whisky event will be held at the grounds of Theaterworks, which was once a rice warehouse on Mohammed Sultan Road.
"Whisky Live Singapore has been hugely successful among whisky aficionados in the region. We are constantly looking into ways to alleviate the experience. Whiskey and spirits appreciation is an art," La Maison du Whisky general manager Mathieu Musnier said in a statement.
Themed "Rare, Share, Pair," the event, according to Musnier, wants to bring forth a different and immersive experience for its guests by offering not only the taste of fine spirits, but also the creativity that comes with their production, including marketing strategies such as bottle craft of various ingenious brands. Participants will be able to take masterclasses by top brands such as Scotland's Glenlivet and Taiwan's Kavalan.
There will be also samplings of more than 50 brands and 150 expressions of whisky and other spirits and cocktails.
The event acts as a medium to connect the guests with producers, distillers and marketers. It also provides opportunities for visitors to sample rare and sought-after whiskies.
Whisky Live Singapore will also be the first in Southeast Asia to present Nikka Coffey Gin, Nikka Coffey Vodka, 25-year-old Old Pulteney and the 1983 vintage Old Pulteney.
Tickets start from S$99 (Rp 988,000).
