David Beckham Visits Semarang to Tackle Bullying at Schools

Jakarta. Retired football superstar David Beckham visited Semarang, Central Java, on Tuesday (27/03) in his capacity as United Nations Children's Fund goodwill ambassador to support an anti-bullying campaign, Unicef said.

Beckham's visit, which formed part of Unicef's mission to vanquish violence and bullying in the classroom, was funded by the 7 Fund, named after the footballer's favorite jersey number.

The former Manchester United star met with 15-year-old Sri "Sripun" Pundati, a female student at SMPN 17 Semarang public junior high school, to hear how she become a leader to prevent bullying.
