Jakarta. Jakarta Governor Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama is scheduled to attend the seventh session of his blasphemy trial on Tuesday (24/01), where he will present his own witnesses.

The governor claimed he did not prepare anything special ahead of Tuesday's trial, except for studying the police investigation report, or BAP.

The court will hear statements from five witnesses on Tuesday, two factual witnesses presented by the defendant, and three prosecutor witnesses.

"Tomorrow everything should go according to the BAP," Ahok said on Monday.

The witnesses testifying for Ahok are both civil servants — Pulau Panggang subdistrict head Yuli Hardi and a staff in the Jakarta administration’s communications agency, Nurkholis Majid.

The three prosecutor witnesses — Ibnu Baskoro, Muhamad Asroi Saputra and Imam Sudirman — should have appeared in court last week but failed to show up.

Ahok’s trial is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. at a makeshift courtroom in the Ministry of Agriculture headquarters in South Jakarta.
