Anticipation Mounts as Rihanna Teases Imminent Release of New Album
Jakarta. It has been three years since Rihanna released her seventh album "Unapologetic" — and her fans can't wait any longer for the singer's new record to drop.
After launching single after hit single, such as "B***h Better Have My Money," earlier this year, Rihanna is rumored to finally be making her new album, "Anti," available on Jay Z's music-streaming service Tidal this Friday.
The 27-year-old Barbadian pop star has dropped several hints within the last several weeks about the impending release.
During the broadcast of the 2015 American Music Awards last Sunday, mysterious Samsung Mobile ads appeared, encouraging users of the mobile devices to access her new website, AntiDiary.com. According to Rolling Stone, the site "opens a world of creepy clips and cryptic clues for fans to unlock on the journey to 'Anti.'"
The singer has also announced an upcoming world tour to support her new album next year, which will feature prominent opening acts such as Travis Scott, The Weeknd and Big Sean.
"The Anti World Tour" is scheduled to kick off on Feb. 26 in San Diego and tour North America and Europe.
As Rihanna's fans wait with bated breath, one thing that they already know about the Kanye West-produced album is its artsy cover.
Created by Roy Nachum, the red-splashed artwork — depicting the singer as a child with a gold crown covering her eyes — was unveiled at a special event at a Los Angeles gallery in October.
