Astindo's 'Best Travel Deal' Event Opens in Five Cities

Jakarta. Astindo Travel Fair, one of the biggest travel exhibitions in Indonesia, opened simultaneously at Jakarta Convention Center, Palembang Icon Mall, Plaza Andalas in Padang, Lippo Mall Kuta in Bali, and Tunjungan Plaza 6 in Surabaya on Friday.
Visitors can discover international and domestic flight deals from 150 travel agencies and major airline partners attending the fair, such as All Nippon Airlines, Cathay Pacific Airways, China Airlines, Citilink, Emirates, Etihad Airlines, EVA Air, Garuda Indonesia, Korean Air, Malaysian Airlines, Philippines Airlines, Qantas Airways, Qatar Airways, Saudia Arabian Airlines, Singapore Airlines, and Thai Airways.
“Astindo Travel Fair is the best reference for everyone planning to travel. The tourism trend is rising every year, so we offer the best prices and special discounts for travel packages and flights,” Astindo chairwoman Elly Hutabarat said in Jakarta.
“We are optimistic this year’s fair will break through 150,000 visitors and sales of up to Rp 253 billion [$18 million],” Elly said.
The most popular attraction about this annual event is that visitors can find the best travel package deals for domestic and international routes.
Travel package to Yogyakarta, for example, is only around Rp 1 million, Bali and Lombok around Rp 2 million, and Medan around Rp 3 million.
For Rp 3 million only, a visitor may get an eight-day travel package to Kuala Lumpur including flight, hotel and tour. Similar package to Bangkok is offered at as cheap as Rp 4 million. Choices may go further to Manila (Rp 5 million), Dubai (Rp 9 million), New York (Rp 16 million), and more.
The event also offered budget flight tickets starting from Rp 1.6 million to Singapore, Rp 2.8 million to Bangkok, Rp 5.1 million to Tokyo, Rp 6.3 million to Sydney, Rp 6.8 million to Amsterdam and Rp 10.5 million to Los Angeles.
Visitors may also find ship cruise tickets, travel insurance and banking service offers during the event.
The entry price for Astindo Travel Fair is Rp 20,000 ($1.45) available on the spot.
