Jakarta. "Bali Surgawi," or "Divine Bali," festival will be held at Petit Bain on the Seine River in Paris on Sept. 10.

The event is initiated by four French youths who want to promote the beauty of Bali.

The festival will feature a traditional culinary market, art performances, including the kecak dance and gamelan music, and a photo exhibition of works by Made Sukerta, Virginie Marion and Karyne Lamouille.

Balinese artist Nyoman Bujana will showcase his sculptures and technique in a live show.

Assistant deputy for European, Middle Eastern, American and African markets development at the Ministry of Tourism, Nia Niscaya, said the ministry will support the event to attract more foreign visitors from France.

"We target to bring 330,000 French tourists to Indonesia this year, and this event will hopefully help us reach the target," Tourism Minister Arief Yahya said.
