First Hunger Games Theme Park in the World Opens in Dubai
Jakarta. The world’s first Hunger Games theme park officially opened at Motiongate Dubai in Dubai Parks and Resort on Oct. 20.
The region's largest theme park, it offers Hunger Games fans a close to real experience of the film.
The World of Hunger Games features replica of the movie set and exclusive video content featuring characters from the film, including Effie Trinket (played by Elizabeth Banks) and Caesar Flickerman (Stanley Tucci).
Visitors can also take on the journey from District 12 to the Capitol on a half-pipe rollercoaster, ride the Capitol Bullet Train or enjoy a 3D flight that soars over Panem — the fictional universe in the movie.
Live music performances, exclusive souvenir shops and dine-in at Peeta’s Bakery — inspired by the character Peeta Mellark in the movie — are also available every day.
Mohamed Almulla, chief executive officer of DXB Entertainments PJSC, said in a statement on Thursday (26/10) that Dubai will continue to host the world’s biggest events and attractions.
"We are very proud to be able to give our audiences new experiences here in Dubai. We currently have 100 attractions inside Motiongate and we are very pleased to present this new exciting attraction for everyone."

"Dubai Parks and Resorts is such a fantastic partner. Together, we have created an interactive and authentic experience for people around the world."
The theme park offers a winter season daily pass for Rp 610,000 ($45) for UAE and GCC residents and for Rp 870,000 for overseas visitors.
Yearly membership tickets are available for Rp 1,020,000, cheaper than buying two single-entry regular tickets.
